Diverse Beginners Yoga class description

 

- We'll be using basic beginner yoga poses that naturally and with practice, will build up onto others and more fluid classes, as we gain mobility and strength. Modifications of the poses and props will be offered, either to increase or decrease the intensity of the pose. You decide which option you take depending on your goals or how your body feels that particular day.

- Short breathing exercises and guided meditation will be included in the class.

- Alternative exercises may be included to improve mobility while working towards a pose.

- A topic or theme may lead the class, which may be related to questions concerning diverse women such as resilience, strength, unity, uniqueness, embracing the new and remembering the roots... 

- You will need : a yoga mat a couple of yoga blocks and a yoga strap. I may have some spares with me in case someone forgets theirs. 

- Duration: 50 min

As a group of diverse women from different backgrounds we will assume everyone has their own unique beliefs and religions, which will be accepted and respected.
